Description
Bess, back in England in early 1917, passes through a London train station and witnesses an emotional farewell between a woman and an officer. She later realizes that the woman is the wife of one of her patients, a young pilot burned beyond recognition. When she is back on duty in France, a drawing of the woman on the front page of the paper is accompanied by a request from Scotland Yard, seeking information from anyone who has seen her.
